A letter to my Congressmen 07/20/13
July 20, 2013
Dear Representative Hall,
Dear Senator Cornyn,
Dear Senator Cruz,
Tax Day, April 15th, has become an unnecessary major source of stress and anxiety for millions of hardworking American taxpayers kept up at night wondering if they’ve complied with the impossible tax code. Our tax system punishes productivity, success, hard work, innovation, savings and investment and, after paying taxes on the same dollars s everal times, even death is considered a taxable event.
We need to return to a system where taxes are fairly collected to fund the legitimate functions of government. The Founding Fathers never envisioned an income tax, which is why it took the 16th Amendment to get it passed. Our present tax system is politicized and manipulated to shape citizen behavior and redistribute wealth (the richest 1% pay 40% of all income tax, but earn 23% of all income). This is accomplished by fanning the divisive flames of class hatred to buy votes and hand out political favors to whichever special-interest group has the most high-powered lobbyists and tax attorneys.
It is completely naive to think that the current monstrosity can be properly and fairly “reformed” or “simplified”. Multiple failed attempts have been made to simplify and reform the current system, only to see complexity return in short order. We can do better. We must and we can.
We’ve won two World Wars and put men on the moon, so changing our tax system is achievable and necessary for our economic survival. As your constituent, I expect you to address this issue in a manner that is best for America and her citizens! Abolish the IRS!
As you know, (if you don't shame on you), the IRS has never been a lawful agency. The federal income tax has never been a lawful tax. The IRS has always been a tool for Congress, the President and other public servants to use for bullying a majority of the American workers and American business people. It's nothing more than a collection agent for the Federal Reserve Bank which is another unlawful agency. We the people have had to deal with this unconstitutional business for 100 years! It has never been fare and it's time to face the truth and eliminate it.
You may be one of those who care more about yourself than you care about the truth. Most people tend to have this flaw. However, Congress men and women should be held to a higher standard.
Congress has become a bunch of smoke blowers who have become masters at getting nothing done, and allowing the worst kind of legislation to pass. You guys have become untrustworthy by association. It's about time to light some fires under you associates. I'm loosing hope fast!
Sincerely,
Mr. Wayne Doudney
