How much can I say about the word truth?   The lie and deceit were first used in the Garden of Eden when Satan, while in the form of a serpent, said to Eve, “You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” As Eve had previously stated in this scripture, she knew that she was not supposed to partake of this particular tree because God had told them both not to do so. Why did she do it? What was she thinking? And, why did she deliberately defy Almighty God? What about Adam? How could Adam be so deceived by Eve that he too partook of the forbidden fruit? They both used their freedom and liberty that God gave them to choose with to choose, and they both chose wrong.  Maybe they didn’t know the difference between truth and fiction, it maybe that they wanted more authority, more power or more something. Who knows what they were thinking at the time, but the results of their thoughts are evidence that they were thinking wrongly. Whatever their thoughts were that caused them to believe these lies ultimately cost them their lives and caused them much pain and sorrow before their deaths.  Why? These things happened because, they defied Almighty God’s specific instructions. Deceit remains one of the most powerful tools used by Satan to deceive mankind into believing a myriad of things that are just not true. Telling people to search for truth and the importance of truth is similar to telling people to laugh because laughter is important for their health. We laugh because we feel that something is so funny and we can’t help ourselves but to laugh. Yes laughter is good for our health and it doesn’t hurt to try to find a little humor in almost everything, but laughter is something that cannot be faked nor can it be conjured up at will. There are things worse than phony laughter.  However, phony laughter is obviously an untruth or a lie.   Have you ever attending the show of a standup comedian who is using old material that isn’t very funny?  (If you are watching it on TV you probably change the channel.)  People are forcing themselves to laugh because they want to be happy and in someway they think laughing will do the trick.  You may be laughing along with them to be polite, or to go along with the crowd, but deep inside yourself, you know that the laughter is not true.  Everyone around you seems to be laughing.  How can this be?  Why do intelligent people continue to believe things that are obviously not true?  There are hundreds of reasons, in this case, they probably just want to feel good and happy.  In all honesty the heckler in the crowd is probably the only honest one there.  Of course there will be a few people that are not even smiling and some who are asleep. If (the big word, if) we were more interested in the truth than we are our own ideas of what truth should be we just might find it, we might have a new ability to see it and we might have more ability to understand it. Sir Winston Churchill, The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain during WWII, said of truth; “Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.”  Sir Winston’s statement seems simple enough.  Why is it that a vast number of Americans will not or cannot grasp this fact?   The truth is that there are many political leaders (one in particular, I won’t insult you by mentioning his name) who demonstrate their willingness to use deception and deceit in almost everything they do.   They are either incompetent, or they are diabolical in their nature, full of envy, hatred and arrogance.  Either way these people have made the deliberate decision to deceive their constituents.   Sometimes they have been deceptive so often and for so long that they have become pathological and they believe their own deceit.  These are certainly bona fide IGMOS. The people that are easiest to deceive are the people that are interested in their own version of the truth, these people could care less about the real truth.  They are interested only in themselves.  They are selfish, arrogant and self-centered.  These people are bona fide IGMOS, because they are incapable of knowing the truth.  (brings to mind the words of Jack Nicholson in the movie “A few good men, “You can’t handle the truth!” which was in fact was a lie as well.) Other people that are easy to deceive are the working people who scrape to make ends meet.  Many of them hold down two maybe three jobs, and are trying to raise children.  They scrape and scrimp to keep food on the table.  These people maybe a little ignorant but they are not moronic.  Their biggest problem is that they are hurting and they are willing to accept the lies along with the food stamps.  (There is something we Christians could learn from this.  People will be willing to hear the truth after a good meal.)  With a little education and honest opportunity this group could learn to love truth. Some America are 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation welfare recipients.   Many of these recipients have learned to work the system.   These are takers and they are extremely unhappy people.  The truth about work is that it is not a curse.  Work is a fantastic blessing.  Adam, the first man created by God, worked in the garden.  The curses didn’t begin until after Adam and Eve were deceived and believed the first lie.  This group of Americans are bona fide IGOMS. There are people who gain their wealth form the status quo.  These individuals have learned to churn the present political system.  (Some of them are deceivers themselves.) They have learned to make money and obtain power during times of prosperity and/or during times of famine.  They will go to whatever means necessary in order to create wealth and power.  Wars, death, famine, destruction, desolation and pain are of no concern to them.  Why would they be interested in truth?  Truth would require that they be more productive and less decadent.  This is another group of Americans who are arrogant, self-serving and think only of themselves.   They believe the only truth is their own truth which in reality is not true at all.  Truth would be extremely beneficial to them, but they can’t see it because they choose not to see it.  Why are they this way?  I don’t know.  They are, however, another set of bona fide IGMOS. So, what is to be done?   People cannot be forced to see and understand truth anymore than they can be forced to love their neighbor.  Deceit and deception are sent to us in a powerful way by a powerful force.   This force is evil in its character and the highest evil within it is Satan himself. The Holy Bible is one place where truth can be found.  IGMOS would have you believe that the Bible is nothing more than a book of fables.  But, the truth is that the Bible is much more than that.  It contains the truth.  It was written by God’s instruction.    Jesus himself stated in John 14:6: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”   IGMOS would have you believe another lie, that Jesus is not what Jesus said that he was.  But, you know what?  There is evidence everywhere that Jesus was alive, that he was crucified, that he arose from the grave and that he ascended to Heaven.  And that presently He sits by His Father in Heaven. IGMOS and Communist would have you believe that we just happened, that there is no Creator, no Christ, no Savior, no Heaven and no Hell.  We just happened to evolve over millions of years of evolution.  The very idea of evolution is such an obvious lie that it takes a bona fide IGOM to believe it. That is about all I have to say about that right now. ~Adverse Yaw

How long will so many of us Americans believe so much that just is not true? My heart weeps for my children who will be required to fight for each inch of freedom that they can get. Why does evil have to win so many battles? Why are so many of us susceptible to so many obvious lies? Do we want our cake and to eat too it so much that we turn our heads when deceitful politicians spout their lies? Can't the majority of us read the writing on the wall? Is there not a a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, underway at this very minute? What the heck are we waiting for? Call your Sheriff and file a complaint for someone that you know within our Government that has obviously violated his or her sacred oath. What if the President came to town and your Sheriff arrested him for treason? Would you stand by your Sheriff? Would you demand him to do his job?  Would you volunteer to be an armed deputy to protect him?  Are you a Patrick Henry or a Benedict Arnold?   Is liberty more important to you than death? Remember folks, "WE THE PEOPLE" are responsible for our Government officials. We elected them, we pay their salaries and they work for us. They all swore they would protect and defend the Constitution when they made their sacred oath. If they don't do so, they commit treason, and that's against the Constitution. The bottom line of law in America is the Constitution. Our jails and our prisons should be full of politicians who obviously violate their sacred oaths. Are there no Americans around with intestinal fortitude? Are we asleep at the wheel? I am extremely worried! Does anyone have any ideas? I'd like to hear them.

‘First things first’ is one of my rules for life.  That being said, I always start from the very beginning when I have a new student.  I will not accept a student until he or she has completed ground school, and has a recommendation from their ground school instructor. 

The first lesson is very important for the student.  It also gives me the opportunity to determine what kind of pilot this person will be.  After the student and I are formally introduced we retire to my office for the beginning of the first lesson.

I start by asking about what he or she thought about the ground school that they had just completed.  We discuss in detail the hands-on business of flying the airplane.  I go over the theory of flight, the three separate axis that the airplane moves around.  The dynamics of an airfoil and how the manipulations of the controls effect different airfoils associated with the airplane.  We discuss all the control surfaces that effect the flight, how they work and why.   We go over lift, gravity, roll, pitch and yaw, “P” factor, torque, adverse Yaw, slipping and skidding, drag and “g” forces. We talk about the rules and regulations, we talk about standard traffic patterns and non standard traffic patterns.  We talk about taxing, takeoff, climbing, level flight, and descending.  I describe in detail the different things that they will see and what to watch for in the different phases of flight.  I describe speed and power control.  I talk about how the wind will effect the ground track of the airplane while flying across country.  All of these things have already been discussed in detail in ground school, however, I go over them again with each new student.

My self-devised syllabus that I use on the first flight is one for familiarity.  It’s for the student to know and understand me. And it’s for, the student to start learning to fly the airplane.   

As we approach the airplane which is always tied down on the ramp, I take the opportunity for the student to look at the airplane from a distance away.  I ask if they can see any apparent damage.  Sometimes the forest can’t be seen for the trees being in the way. First thing we check as we approach the airplane is the fuel quantity.  Are we going to need to order fuel?  Second thing we check is the engine oil quantity.  Does it need any oil?  “These are things that can be accomplished by service personnel while we are completing the preflight inspection.” I tell them.  Most times the fuel and oil are already topped off.  From the Engine cowling we unhurriedly inspect the rest of the airplane.  We check the propeller for nicks, the leading edges of the left wing, the wing tip, the trailing edge of the wing, the ailerons, the flaps, then along the fuselage to empennage.  We check the condition of the leading edge of the horizontal and the vertical stabilizers, the elevators, the rudder, around to the trailing of the left wing, flaps and ailerons, left wing tip, and the leading edge.  We look at all static ports, static wicks and so on.  This may take 25 to 30 minutes as I try to impress upon the student the importance of a good preflight inspection.  “Sometimes the obvious is so obvious that we miss it completely.” I tell them.

Once the inspection of outside is complete.  I ask the student to climb into the pilot seat and while I am standing on the ground with the door open I continue with my monologue.  I talk about each of the controls that the pilot uses and how they work.  I describe in great detail each of the flight instruments.  We discuss the engine instruments, the fuel control lever, the throttle, the carb heat and the mixture control.  (I admit that I am good at this, and I cover everything.)   I describe each and every lever and switch that is used, how they are used and why.  “Nothing is there that doesn’t have a purpose, everything that is there is a way to control the outcome of each flight.  Each item has its own importance,” I tell them.

After I have covered everything I always ask them if they have any questions.  The vast majority of the students say that they don’t.  One or two of them may ask about something that has already been covered.   Most often the student may need to get something right in their mind.  When I re-explain it to them and when they seemed to be satisfied with their understanding we  continue.

More times than not they seemed to be satisfied and have no questions.  I continue my monologue something like this.

“Okay, I’m glad that you understand everything and that you have no questions.  Here is what I want you to do.  I’m going to close this door and back away, I want you to start up the engine and taxi over to the runway.”  I physically point to the end of the runway.  “Then, I want you to go ahead and takeoff and fly around the field a couple times then come in and land on the same runway.  Then taxi back here and we will discuss it.  Okay?”  I ask.

Most of them ask, “That’s all there is to it?

I answer, “Yep, that’s all there is to it.”

“Really?  That’s all there it to it?”  Some of them ask again.

I reply, “Yep, be careful now, okay?”

This is when I learn about the student and their ability or inability to think and to make good decisions.

SEVEN OUT OF TEN would attempt this if I would allow it.  I NEVER ALLOW THEM TO GO ANY FARTHER.  

My next statement to them is in the form of a question, “ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?  Do you actually think that I would allow you to take the airplane by yourself and attempt to fly it alone?”  At this point I realize that decision-making is going to be an important part of this student’s training.  This is the only negative statement or question I have or make to the student ever again.  Everything else will be taught in a positive manor.  But I have learned a great deal about them and will instruct them accordingly.

Three out of ten will ask me if I am OUT OF MY MIND, and explain to me that there I no way that they will try to fly alone.

So what I have are three students out of ten who I can instruct, they will listen to me, they will learn rapidly, and I will allow them to fly solo and I will not worry about the outcome.

On the other hand, I have seven students who I will watch like a hawk.  Students who, for what ever reason, can’t make good decisions.  I will tell them over and over again about the dangers of flight, the hardness of terra firma, the finality of death.  I will express to them again and again that “Aviation in itself is not inherently dangerous.  But that it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessness, incapacity or neglect.  Thinking and the ability to think is paramount in learning how to fly safely.  Okay?” I say and ask.

Some of them will get it some of them will not.  Some of them will learn to fly safely, some will never fly alone.

Two things I refuse to do as a flight instructor.  First; I will not allow a student to fly solo until I am reasonably sure that they have the ability to think and that they can make good decisions.  Second; I will not allow a student to fly solo until they have successfully recovered from a spin.

I’ve been flying airplanes for more than forty-five years and I haven’t hurt anyone, nor to my knowledge have any of my students hurt anyone.   We may have dinged an airplane or two, but we haven’t caused any physical pain to anybody.

     As I was reading the scripture below, I began to think of my earthly country, America.  America was originally a group of Christian men and women trying to remove themselves from the tyranny of the English Monarchy and trying to find a place where they could worship in freedom and liberty.   

     While reading the scripture below I mentally changed the singular pronouns to communal pronouns that would describe Christians who happened to be Americans.  I substituted; ‘our  for ‘my, ‘us for ‘me, ‘we for ‘I, and ‘ourselves for ‘myself.   If you take the time to read it that way you may see what I saw as I read.  Not only are the 1^st and 2^nd Amendments under attack, but Christians are being persecuted by those within our Government.  Things of liberty and freedom seem to be falling apart.

`

Be not silent, O God of my praise! For wicked and deceitful mouths are opened against me,     speaking against me with lying tongues. They encircle me with words of hate,     and attack me without cause. In return for my love they accuse me,     but I give myself to prayer. So they reward me evil for good,     and hatred for my love.

     We Christians who live in America should be calling upon Almighty God, and begging for His Divine intervention in the workings of our Society and our present Government.  Our Founding Fathers understood the need for faith in their daily lives; the vast majority of Americans who now live in the 21^st Century don’t have a clue. We Christians should be in continuous prayer for both the IGMOS within our Government and for those who elected them.  I can’t see any good thing taking place for America until the majority of Americans allow their eyes to be opened to the truth.   It seems to me that until the majority of Americans are focused on Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Savior the outlook is very grim.

The tiny word ‘IF’ seems more powerful than other conjunctions, because it provokes thought and imagination. Songs like; If I were a Carpenter or If I were a Rich Man cause one to think, 'what if.' I was thinking this morning what if. If I were a black man, would I be more disappointed in the behavior of President Obama than I am as a white man? Although, the color of ones skin has little to do with the color of their soul and their heart people still associate many things with skin color. Chris Rock has made millions using the ‘N’ word. The word itself doesn’t make one iota of difference in anyone or about anyone, but it is most derogatory and most people are offended by the sound of it. I personally don’t like the way it sounds. A Mexican friend once told me that there are Jokes that are only funny when told in Spanish to another Mexican. When told in English they lose their humor. He went on to tell me that a gringo wouldn’t understand them anyway.   I believe that his statement was true. I know of jokes about different races of people that are only funny to white people who were born and raised in the South. Yes, some of them are about black people and are funny, but would not have the least bit of humor for a black person. Black people share the same sort humor with each other about white folks. Whichever direction they flow many of the jokes have absolutely no hate or prejudice within them. Some jokes can cross the race line and be shared with different races from one to another. Some of the funniest humor is the humor that causes us to laugh at ourselves. Hateful stories that are supposed to be funny, but are not, are normally told by ignorant people that are desperate for self-aggrandizement. Most people who participate in this sort of warped humor are very unhappy. They deserve our pity. The question remains; If I were a black man, would I be more disappointed in the behavior of the President than I am now? What do you think?

When we are totally exasperated, depressed and afraid. How do we regain the feelings of safety, peace and security?  What can we do to climb out of this deep and slimy pit?  Is there anything that can be done?   Do we struggle for one step forward and slide two or three steps back?  Are we to a point of giving up, totally succumbing to death?  Looking forward to the end of this life?

What is the solution?  Where can I find a copy of it?  Is it complicated, will it take the mental intellect of a brain Surgeon, or a Rocket Scientist to understand? The answers are very simple.   Everyone has been given the capacity and the ability to understand the solution.  We can understand it and how it works.   The mentally handicapped sometimes understand it better than the most intelligent human being. THE ANSWER IS:  TRUTH.  TRUTH is the only viable SOLUTION. Distractions are like huge boulders that obstruct the pathway of life.   These distractions hide the simple solution of TRUTH. One of the distractions that hide TRUTH is DESIRE.  Many people are extremely interested in passionate gratification.  If it (DESIRE, whether it be thought, action or behavior)  isn't making them feel good then they are not interested. Their attitude is;  "If it doesn't make me feel better then forget about it."  Some people wonder in circles their entire lifetime and never find truth because of the distractions of desire. Another distraction that hides TRUTH is OPINION.  Everyone has an opinion. A great number of Americans place so much importance in their own opinion that truth ends up so far back on the back burner that it is totally unnoticed.   Their personal agenda is paramount in their own mind's eye.  Sometimes, if not always, these people don't want to hear another opinion.  Their attitude is,  "if you can't agree with ME, then keep your mouth shut."  Most often their opinions are the very abstract item that keeps TRUTH hidden from them. I have heard people say that, "truth is relative."  They say that there is "my truth, your truth and their truth."  I don’t buy that at all.  TRUTH is true or it isn't TRUTH at all.  If it's not TRUTH it's deceit.  What could possibly be any simpler than that? The most common distraction that keeps TRUTH concealed is SELF.  It's like some people never grow up.  They see themselves as the center of the universe and that all things revolve or rotate around them.  SELF is part DESIRE, and part OPINION, but it is much worse because SELF takes the place God.    These people make decrees, they define and declare what is true and what is not. With this attitude, how can they ever recognize God as Sovereign? Their anchor is set to a drifting burg.  They are lost in a constant drifting motion.  These are the sinners to be pitied the most. The combination of these three distractions will keep TRUTH sealed away deep in a vault where TRUTH has no chance of ever touching them. Where is this TRUTH found?  Many already know the answer.  Many are searching for the answer and will find it.  Many are searching, but due to distractions will refuse to believe the answer.  There are many truths that are self-evident, like gravity, speed, motion, energy and a multitude of others. But, the bottom line, the TRUTH that is the solution to the problems of living here on Planet Earth is the TRUTH that is paramount.  It can be found in the Holy Bible.  The Bible is the operators manual that God has provided for humanity.  It is the beginners guide, the how to operate instruction booklet, it is the limitations and capacities sheet and it is the minimum equipment list.  Failure to use it properly can be painful.  Failure to recognize it will be devastating and fatal. I read this scripture this morning.   Psalm 1 through 2.  I found it to be profound, applicable and apropos to this day in the 21 Century.  Check it out!  You just may agree with me.  ~Adverse Yaw Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying, “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.” He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. ~Psalm 1 - 2 The problem is, as I see it; that the sin committed by us the sinners is bad enough, and the redemption of these sins requires death and the shedding of blood.  Now, if you don't sin or haven't sinned, then go back to polishing your halo and forget about what I'm saying, because you may be too distracted to understand.    The biggest problem is much more than the sin itself.  The biggest problem is calling right wrong and wrong right.  How can one ever repent if they refuse to admit error?   And, how can one receive redemption if they are already perfect?  Can't be done and that is the truth.    ~Adverse Yaw.

It seems that the big popularity contest has already begun.  Everyone in the news is already talking about the coming elections, both 2014, and 2016.  I hear H. Clinton and others for President coming from the Left and T. Cruz and others for President coming from the Right.  There is deceit being spread by all parties sparing no expense. Most parties will go to any means to make their agenda come into fruition.   Everyone wants their agenda placed on the front burner, and the main tool used by many is the common lie.  The lie is a powerful tool when deceiving the masses, especially if the majority of the masses are IGMOS and can’t think for themselves.  It seems to me that once the lie is used in part the whole is contaminated.  I was reading words spoken by King David in his Song of Thanks.  You can read it below, it comes from 1 Chronicles 16 (ESV)   starting at verse 8 through verse 36. If you are interested in Truth, God’s Word is the place to find it.  God’s word is a place where your anchor will hold fast and strong and you won’t drift any farther than the chain that connects you to your anchor.   The contest has always been, presently is, and always will be, a spiritual contest between Good and Evil.   ~A.Yaw DAVIDS SONG OF THANKS Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name;     make known his deeds among the peoples! Something changed for me when I was nine-years-old and things have been improving for me since that time. Oh, I have often questioned whether or not what happened to me then was really real. Was it real or a figment of my imagination, or was it a game of pretend? Did Almighty God really save me? I have asked myself these questions on several occasions since that time. Was my baptism simply going through a motion of something that I was supposed to do in order to achieve eternal life? No, it was more than that. Baptism was my part, no doubt about that. It was my act of obedience, Brother McCann my pastor at the time, did the work of dunking me, he got his feet wet just like me, but, it was my act of showing everyone attending the ceremony, that I had accepted God’s gift of eternal life. The old self was dead and the new person was born to a new life in God's family. I don’t regret walking down to the front of the church that Sunday Morning. I really wanted to be obedient to God, I was totally committed. It was more than hell-fire that Dr. Jackson preached the week of that revival. He persuaded me to accept the gift that I had been hearing about every since I could remember. Now, there is no doubt in my mind that I was born again sometime during the week of that revival. There is no doubt that I was obedient in my professing salvation and being baptized. I wish that I could say that I went on to be a minister of the Gospel if it was God's will, and walked a walk that God intended for me to walk. But, I did not. There are more than a few characters in the bible that I can identify with. Many occasions, I have been every bit has hard headed as Jonah, every bit as skeptical as Thomas, every bit as arrogant as King Saul, every bit as afraid and frightened as Elijah was when he ran from Jezebel, every bit as sinful as King David was with Bathsheba and his murder of Uriah and every bit as judgmental of others, as are many Christians today. It wasn’t but days after I was baptized that I began drifting away into an immoral life style. I went from hearing filthy jokes to later passing them along to others, and I’m guilty of other deceitful and hateful sins. My example of being a Christian was the poorest of the poor. I’m now near to seventy-years-old and an ocean of water has passed over Niagara Falls since I accept the gift of salvation. The vast majority of this time has been a time of turmoil for me because of my hard head. I have learned that being hard headed has zero-advantage when used in opposition to the will of Almighty God. I haven’t been totally opposed to God, nor have I refused to admit the truth. I fully understand that I have failed to live according to His will. I have been a pick and chooser, and being a pick and chooser is a difficult habit to break. But, know this! I am a man who Jesus loves. He has ransomed my life, He has paid for my sins and has prepared a place for me in Heaven. You must understand that His perfectness and His sacrifice is a billion times more to the good side of the equation that my sin is bad on the other end of the equation. Although, my sins are many and are all very bad He still loves me. He has forgiven me and he has saved me. He has spent the past almost 60 years drawing me nearer and nearer to Himself. I have spent the same time in constant prayer begging for His mercy and that he would draw me nearer. All of my prayers have been answered. This is my Testimony as best as I can tell it.

If anybody in Chicago is culpable for the armed carnage on that city’s mean streets, it’s Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who never misses an opportunity to blame peaceable, law-abiding gun owners for the daily bloodletting by violent Chicago thugs.

Emanuel steadfastly refuses to demand application of tough federal laws that would surgically rid the streets of criminals who currently terrorize many Chicago neighborhoods. And that represents a kind of aggressive political malfeasance.

For Emanuel—a former U.S. congressman, former chief of staff in President Barack Obama’s White House and former Bill Clinton White House gun-ban guru—to intentionally blow off federal laws punishing illegally armed violent criminals is especially vile.

The reason is simple. If Chicago citizens knew the extent of existing harsh criminal sanctions and that those laws could readily be applied to prosecute real criminals, Emanuel’s endless call for new “gun control” would be seen for what it is: an evil campaign to disarm the innocent. And those federal laws apply equally in every corner of the nation.

That reality goes for New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and for every other mayor signed on to his phony national political machine, Mayors Against Illegal Guns. It also goes for U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and President Obama.

A January 2013 Chicago Tribune story headlined, “U.S. struggles over which gun crimes to prosecute,” reported, “Obama’s Justice Department has shown little appetite to prosecute what it considers low-level firearms crimes… officials with the department said.”

If “low-level” prosecutions of the most violent armed criminals in Chicago were the norm, that city—with thousands of shootings and armed robberies added to its growing number of murders—would see scores of the worst violent gang members and armed drug dealers sent to prison in sure, swift prosecutions. That’s true for every city in America.

But Chicago, with the most vicious armed criminals in the nation, ranks 89th out of 90 U.S. Attorney districts. That ranking comes from Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), which provides the gold-standard review of federal law enforcement performance.

Given thousands of violent crimes involving armed criminals, including record numbers of murders every year, Chicago has seen pathetically few federal gun-law prosecutions: 63 in fiscal year 2011.

How many of the 506 murders involving firearms in Chicago last year would never have happened had Obama’s Justice Department taken criminals off the streets?

A simple look at the law answers that question. Everything real violent criminals do to acquire a firearm is already a serious federal felony. Under federal law, lying to a licensed dealer, lying on the form 4473, and straw sales are all federal felonies that are almost never prosecuted. Holder’s Justice Department calls them “paper violations.”  Yet those are the very crimes that they say demand a “universal background check”—a national registration scheme—for all of us.

So let me cite—from a federal public defender fact sheet—a few of the existing federal statutes dealing with armed criminals once they have their guns. I’ll give you the prison term first along with the citations in the United States Code (U.S.C.).

• 10 years—18 U.S.C. § 922(g)—for possession of a firearm or ammunition by a felon, fugitive, or drug user… And possession means touching a gun, any gun, handgun, rifle or shotgun. Any firearm that Dianne Feinstein would ban for us, is already an illegal gun for violent criminals.

• 10 years—18 U.S.C. § 922(j)—for possession of a stolen firearm.

• 10 years—18 U.S.C. § 922(i)—for shipment or transport of a stolen firearm across state lines.

• 10 years—18 U.S.C. § 924(b)—for shipping, transporting or receipt of a firearm across state lines with intent to commit a felony.

• 5 to 30 years consecutive mandatory minimum sentences—18 U.S.C. § 924(a)(1)(A)—for carrying, using, or possessing a firearm in connection with a federal crime of violence or drug trafficking.

• The death penalty or up to life imprisonment—18 U.S.C. § 924(j)—for committing murder while possessing a firearm in connection with a crime of violence or drug trafficking.

• 15 years mandatory minimum—18 U.S.C. § 924(e)—for a “prohibited person” who has three prior convictions for drug offenses or violent felonies.

• 10 years—18 U.S.C. § 924(g)—for interstate travel to acquire or transfer a firearm to commit crimes.

So, if every possible aspect of acquisition, possession, transport, transfer of a firearm by criminals demands harsh and swift punishment under existing law, what is it that Emanuel, Bloomberg and President Obama really want?

To criminalize—then prosecute—everything that we do as law-abiding, peaceable citizens who own and use firearms.

Everyone, it seems, supports Jason Collins coming out of the closet and proclaiming to the world that he is a gay man.  Truth is truth, and if Jason is gay, and he wants the world to know it, so be it.  After all, we live in a free country, and we are free to choose any lifestyle that we desire as long as it doesn’t harm our neighbors.   President Obama, former President Bill Clinton, Kobe Bryant, Billie Jean King, Martina Navratilova and many others (many of whom are gay as well) all support him in his coming out.  They say of him that he is brave and is doing society a great service.    White House spokesman, Jay Carney, called Collins' decision courageous and said the administration views it as another example of progress and evolution in the U.S. as Americans grow more accepting of gay rights and same-sex marriage. I’m sorry, but they are all wrong.  The Bible states in Leviticus 18:22; You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. For the past fifty or sixty years, Americans seemed to have had the "live and let-live attitude" toward homosexuality. The truth be known, this phrase should be stated; the "sin and let-sin attitude."  In other words, “I won’t notice your abomination if you won’t notice my abomination, and we can abominate all we want and no one will be the wiser.  It is all about what feels good.”  I believe that this same attitude was prevalent just prior to the flood.  God wiped out all of mankind except for Noah and his family because of sin.  This attitude was prevalent in Sodom and Gomorrah, and we know what happened there.      To a greater degree than the abomination of homosexuality itself, is the abomination of our Nation refusing to acknowledge God as Sovereign.   The fact of us saying that we have evolved into a people that knows better than God is the root of our problem.  With this faulty attitude things will get progressively worse.   We can already see the decline of our Nation’s morals of what was once a great Nation.  “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.”   ~Romans 1:18 “For this reason, God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature, and the men, likewise, gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.  And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.”  ~Romans 1: 26-28 In order to remain safe and secure one must have an anchor point and mine is the Holy Scripture and Truth.  I am not homophobic.  I have friends who are probably gay.  I haven’t discussed their sexual behavior any more than I would discuss the sexual behavior of my heterosexual friends or their toilet habits for that matter.  But, I’m not so ignorant that I call what is right wrong or what is wrong right.  That would be refusing to acknowledge God as Sovereign.  Human beings sin, and that is bad enough, but for one to say that a sin isn’t really a sin it a very deceitful abomination.  If your anchor is set on a lie, you will be lost and adrift forever. ~Adverse Yaw

Just because we feel that something is right doesn’t make it right. Just because we think and feel that something is true doesn’t make it true. When I listen to speeches made by our President and I consider all the untruths that he has already stated, I find it difficult to believe anything that he says. President Obama is a spin-doctor who is a master at deception. He is a leader of the ignorant . . . . the Pied Piper of the 21 Century.  The President is a man that is more interested in his own agenda than he is the welfare of America.  I’m sure that there are a multitude of IGMOs who will vehemently disagree with me.  If there were none who disagreed, I wouldn’t feel obligated to speak out as I am today, and the President wouldn't have been reelected. I’ve just listened to the speech the President made to Planned Parenthood on Friday the 26th of April, 2013.  He just happened to be the first sitting President to address this organization.  It was a controversial decision, especially considering the ongoing Dr. Kermit Gosnell murder trial and the elevated discussion currently unfolding surrounding late-term abortion.  But rather than avoiding abortion, he tackled it head-on, defending a woman’s “right to choose.”  Additionally, he heralded Planned Parenthood as an organization that has served Americans in their greatest times of need.  I disagree, Planned Parenthood and done much more harm than good for America. It promotes “feel good” over truth and right. When IGMOs all across America hear the President speak they only hear the sound of his pipe and to them it is a wonderful sound and easy to follow.  When this President speaks it makes make them feel good and secure.  What they don’t understand is that following this master spin-doctor leads to their own destruction, the destruction of American values and eventually the destruction of our way of life in these United States of America. What could be simpler than truth?  Either something is true or it isn’t.  That makes sense to me.  And, if truth is confusing, what has confused it?  Certainly truth couldn’t be confused by truth.  Truth is confounded, compromised and hidden by deceit.  And, deceit is the clever application of deception. 

The tiniest bit of excrement in your dish of Bluebell Ice Cream will change what would have normally been a delightful dessert into a repulsive dish.  The thought of which might cause you to want to vomit.   Of course if you didn’t know the truth, you might contaminate your entire body by eating it as did the character in the book “The Help” did when she ate two pieces of chocolate pie which was contaminated with the excrement of her maid.

Much clever effort has been applied to hiding or covering up truth in our society.  Truth has become so hidden that it is difficult to determine what is true and what is not.  Especially if we are not particularly interested in truth and more interested in self.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:  ~Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV.   When someone tries to circumnavigate these truths, they are deceiving themselves. 

 One of the greatest deceptions of out time is the attempt of our government to eliminate poverty.  They deceive the people into thinking that work is not necessary. People should have no worries because the government will provide.  It is almost to the point of making work a curse, but the truth is work is a blessing.

Another deception that is promoted is that we never have to feel bad, and that life is always like a bowl of cherries.  If we don’t feel great about ourselves, there are plenty of chemicals that we can take that will instantly make us feel better.  I once had a popular entertainment artist on the business jet that I was flying.  I told him that I was too tired to sleep, and he then offered me pills that would help me sleep, and then other pills that would help me awaken.  What if I had taken his offer?  Would he have still felt safe aboard the airplane that I was flying?  It didn’t matter to him because he was already so stoned that he simply didn’t care.  But at that moment in time, he felt wonderful about himself.  

 In spite of the admonition of my father to stay away from tobacco, I bought into this deception at the early age of fifteen.  I instantly felt super cool with a lit cigarette in my hand.  I was deceived for twenty years, but managed to quit tobacco completely at age thirty-five.  Many people suffered a horrible death at a premature age because of this great lie.

 Another controversial deception is alcohol.   Alcohol in itself isn’t bad, however, its misuse has become a scourge on our society.  Some say that it is totally bad and should be banned, but Jesus turned water into wine.  I will never condemn anyone from using it in moderation, nor, will I criticize anyone for total abstinence. 

 I have just scratched the surface of the number of lies that we believe to be truth at one time or another in our short lives.  But, the fact remains that when the equation is reduced to its lowest common denominator, we find that truth equates to God, goodness and eternal life, and deceit equates to Satan, deception and death.

Many seem to be puzzled at the events that are taking place around the world and especially now on the East Coast of the USA. Suddenly since 09-11-01 violent terrorism has become more and more common within our boarders here in America. The horrible event that took place in Boston at one of the most prestigious marathons in the world is only a tiny taste of what has been going on in the Middle East for centuries. When it is the blood of our own innocent people that is spilled we get angry and start asking the same old questions that have been asked for centuries. WHAT IS GOING ON? and WHY IS IT HAPPENING? Is there a special type of discernment required to understand that the world is in the midst of a spiritual war, a battle between good and evil, between truth and deceit, between love and hate and between Almighty God and Satan? I’m not sure that everyone has the ability to realize or to recognize the Truth when they have never known Him. It may be that we Christians, who have met and know the Truth in a personal way, should spread the good news. We should freely proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 ESV There are a few Muslims who have become Christians, but only because someone told them about the Truth. ~Adverse Yaw

“A coalition of 41 Senate Republicans and five rural-state Democrats blocked legislation to impose broader background checks on gun purchases, with supporters mustering only 54 votes — well short of the 60 needed to advance what the National Rifle Association termed a "misguided" proposal that would have criminalized “certain private transfers” of guns.” ~Newsmax.com Although the majority can’t see the forest for the trees, the Constitutional process still works. Sometimes common logic is so obscured by minutia that it cannot be seen much less understood. The common logic that I’m referring to is the second amendment. It was a very important amendment when it was ratified and it remains an important amendment today. Any success at chipping away at its purpose will be chipping away at the entire Constitution. Without our Constitution the individual American is nothing more than a pawn in the hands of the wealthy elite of the world. This statement is only a proclamation of the truth! You can take it to the bank! Or you can depend on the moral compass of our Government to do the right thing. Ha! What is most difficult for me to understand is why the opponents of freedom will not accept the fact that America is a free country because of freedom itself. Any attempt to restrict freedom does nothing but make America a weaker nation. I wish that this would be the end of this argument, however it is far from over. Now is the time for the executive branch of this government to try and find a solution to the problem of unstable children. Children who have attended schools that refuse to discuss the truth of creation, by a Creator who is Sovereign over the Universe. Schools that have refused to allow students to pray to a Sovereign God. Schools that had rather discuss sex and the use of condoms in the classroom. How many of these children, who have taken to mass murder, have ever been introduced to the facts of life from the perspective of a Creator God who designed them and who loves them? An Almighty God who has known them long before they were conceived. This would be an interesting thing to explore. What would the founding fathers have to say about religious training with a true moral compass in our classrooms? The answer is in our history! Check it out! They would all be 100% in favor of religious training in our schools! It may be that the Congress could explore ideals such as these. It is most doubtful that this will ever happen, but it is something that we as Christians should be praying that will soon take place.  May Almighty God bless America with the ability to know truth and to understand truth and to accept truth. ~Adverse Yaw

America has been in the pits many times before now.  The Revolutionary War, The War of 1812, The War Between the States, The Spanish American War, WWI, WWII, The Koran War, The War in Vietnam, Desert Storm, the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, not to mention many others.  It seems that we as a Nation have been participating in War most of the time since we declared our independence way back in July of 1776.    I believe that the vast number of these conflicts were instigated by wealthy and evil men who were hungry for power. Now we face a most gruesome and hateful sort of war.  It is a war of hateful and deceived individuals who believe that harming civilians with bombs is an appropriate way to achieve success.  The success that they achieve is nothing more than the fear and terror that their hateful actions cause.  Nothing is really gained.  Only Satan has the temporary victories.  If their victory is the total destruction of our Homeland America, what have they won?   What hungry people have they fed?  What naked people have they clothed?  What god have they served other than Satan himself? The horror of what took place in Boston is no less than what took place in Oklahoma City, or New York City on both occasions at the World Trade Center.  Of course there were more deaths on 9-11-01 but no less horror for those who lost friends or loved ones at Oklahoma City or Boston or at schools where children were slain by some kook. We seem to shoot our self in the foot with all of the mass shootings at schools, restaurants and other public places.   We all ask ourselves why?  Why is it happening to us here in America?    Why would Almighty God allow such horrible things to happen to us? It appears to me that what America needs is a Revival, a spiritual Awakening.  A realization that of all the conflicts America has had in the past that Almighty God has decided who would win and who would lose. I believe that all of this will pail in comparison to what will take place in the near future on our Southern border.   Only Almighty God can save us!  Lord please revive us again! ~Adverse Yaw

April 16, 2013 Dear Representative Cole: Dear Senator Coburn: Dear Senator Inhofe: On September 11, 2012, America was under attack by radical Islamic jihadists. The result of this attack was not only the burning down and ransacking of American consulates and embassies throughout the Middle East. The end result included the atrocious, violent deaths of 4 Americans. Stand with us in fighting for these 4 men who gave all. Despite asking for reinforcements to help the consulate that was under attack, the Obama Administration denied the requests. Then, within hours of learning about these attacks, President Obama went to party and campaign in Las Vegas, New York, and Hollywood. Although time and emails would prove that not only did Obama know about what happened, he and his team watched it in the Situation Room. But, there were no campaign pictures of that scene released. Instead, Obama attempted, poorly, to hide the truth of what he knew from the American people because the truth was an inconvenience to his campaign in his attempt to remain in power. The more truth that comes out, the worse and worse it gets for the Obama Administration. In fact, they are so desperate to hide the truth that in the past few days we have found out that not only are Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Former Head of the CIA General David Petraeus resigning from their positions, but they have no intention of testifying before Congress. We cannot allow that failure to testify happen. Ambassador Stevens, State Dept. Agent Sean Smith, and Former Navy SEALS Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods deserve better. Can you make a sacrifice to assist us in the fight to hold the Obama Administration’s feet to the fire regarding Benghazi? Are you willing to stand up for your Constituents and for those 4 gentlemen that can no longer speak for themselves? We are the land of the free and the home of the brave! Laws have never limited evil from doing its harm, nor has Government ever successfully prevented mean and harmful acts from taking place.  On the contrary, many times Governments have been guilty of performing mean, horrible and hateful acts.  Now our Government (the USA, highly influenced by progressives) want to remove useful tools that help us protect ourselves and our families from evil.  Anyone with the ability to smell can smell a RAT in all of this. The US Constitution was put in place by the people to limit Government and to prevent it from becoming tyrannical.  Why would intelligent Americans remain in the OSTRICH POSITION with their heads buried in the sand and with their buttocks exposed? Wake up America pull your head out and take action!  Demand that your congressmen stand up and be heard, demand that they search for truth and that they be courageous.   And, if he or she is a usurper, a whore for power or a coward, then demand their immediate resignation.

It wasn’t an Airplane, but it was movement. It was much less restrictive than dealing with all the different personalities of a crew, gate agents, all the rules and regulations of the FAA, all the responsibilities of schedules, safety, dealing with Minimum Equipment Lists (MELs) and passengers. On the other hand there was the occasional irresponsible and rude behavior of a driver or two. But, I found the vast majority of other drivers very cordial and polite. I remain amazed at the kindness of other people sharing the very busy highways and byways of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. The fact that I live in this part of this great nation, makes me know that I am a blessed man. It was a time of solitude while traveling all the directions of the compass with nothing but the truck, it’s load, my thoughts and some fantastic music. One of the songs that made an impact was Van Morrison’s song “Crazy Love.” I honestly haven’t felt this sort of love from another human being. But, I have felt this love and more. If I were to rewrite the song I would have to change some of the words. I would change she to He, because the One who lives in me is the He, The Holy Spirit of my Lord and my Savior. And it is His Crazy Love that makes my heart soar like and Eagle in flight. Although I disappoint Him daily, He continues to shower down upon me His Crazy Love. And, my heart and soul continues to soar high above all the problems of this life as I live it.

Isn’t it interesting how America’s behavior has paralleled the behavior of the Children of Israel in the day of their first King, King Saul? America has become America since we arrived to our promised land on the Mayflower. God in His Providence has given us this land, and has defeated enemy after enemy for us. The Revolutionary War with Great Britain, The War of 1812 with Great Britain, the Great War between the States and numerous other conflicts to include WWII are only a few examples.  In spite of great odds against us, in spite of the fact that we didn’t deserve to survive much less to succeed in the way that we have, we are still to this day a great nation. Our future could still be very bright.   Or, we as a nation may be beginning to falter and the outlook could be very grim. When America has been on the brink of disaster we have always fallen on our knees and begged Almighty God for his mercy and for Him to save us. And He has, time after time. We don’t have gods with names like the Baals, or Ashtaroth, but we have developed other gods and have served them faithfully. We have served the god of wealth, the god of pride, the god of convenience, the god of self, and we have turned our backs on the only true God. Read Chapter 12 in the book of 1 Samuel. Below are a few pertinent verses that I have transcribed. “And they cried out to the Lord and said, ‘We have sinned, because we have forsaken the Lord and have served the Baals and the Ashtaroth. But now deliver us out of the hand of our enemies, that we may serve You.’” 1 Samuel 12: 10 “And now behold the king whom you have chosen, for whom you have asked; behold, the Lord has set a king over you. If you will fear the Lord and serve him and obey his voice and not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, and if both you and the king who reigns over you will follow the Lord your God, it will be well. But if you will not obey the voice of the Lord, but rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then the hand of the Lord will be against you and your king.” 1 Samuel 12: 13-15 This is just a thought from an old retired man who has little to do but read God’s word and watch the world around him. We as a once great nation have but to choose who we will serve, honor and obey. We live in exciting and frightening times! ~Adverse Yaw

 HAS POOR CHRISTIAN BEHAVIOR  DIMMED THE LIGHT? Have your ever wondered why there are so many who have become dead set against Judeo & Christian Principals? Along with humanity's deep burning desire to succeed we humans were each given the uncanny ability to know and understand what is good/clean, and what is evil/nasty. If there were no such thing as good and evil the options would be easy. What ever looked good would be good, any desire that we might have would be okay, and there would be little or much to choose from, depending upon your perspective. We would all develop an "if it feels good; just do it" attitude. However, as C.S. Lewis indicates in his book "Mere Christianity" we have an inner and uncanny understanding about what is acceptable and what is not. When we are tempted to do the unacceptable, or when we partake in the unacceptable there is something within each of us that makes it's case.  When we do evil or the unacceptable we know it, therefore, we suffer the guilt that accompanies the deed. This alone is a strong case for the fact that a Creator created us in a mysterious and wonderful way. This fact also is a strong case against Atheism, but this is not what I want to talk about right now. In America, Progressives, which contain a menagerie of other groups, are in opposition to anything of God, especially anything Christian. Why is this so? The sheer numbers of them seem to be multiplying exponentially. The darkness of sin and self are consuming the masses of America. The progressives are so into themselves that they can't tolerate very much light. As a lack of this tolerance they attack any and everything of light. They have been deceived for so long that they are afraid of truth. Truth to them is like kryptonite was to Superman, it removes their strength and leaves them weak and harmless. America has always been a country filled with the light of truth, justice and freedom. Not so much anymore it seems.   Have Christians have allowed Political Correctness to dim the light of truth? Christianity is the only thing between now and total destruction of America as we know it. Christians are to be a conduit of God's light. Just as salt helps things taste better, the presence of Christians should help others feel love and to feel good. After all light makes navigating a dark pathway easy and exciting. The more Christians that are conduits of God's light . . . . the less darkness there will be.  Being a Christian is better than being any other thing that I know, there is nothing better than being a follower of Jesus Christ. We as Christians should always allow God's light to shine brightly through us in the darkest of places. ~Adverse Yaw

I have just completed Chris Kyle's book "AMERICAN SNIPER" which was a wonderful read.  I highly recommend the book with the caveat that it is brutally honest and the reader must have the ability to tolerate a certain amount of vulgarity.  I suppose that that sort of language comes with the territory, however it may be offensive to some of my readers.  Keep in mind that war is a very vulgar subject especially if you are as close to it as Chris Kyle was when he served and today as many of our young men and women are serving this very moment. This does not mean that I support this particular war, because I do not.  Ninety nine percent of wars are fought by the innocent and instigated by evil men.  The greed for wealth and power are the obvious reasons that wars are instigated and in most cases the reasons that the USA gets involved.  When I say the USA I don't mean the vast majority of its citizens, but I do mean the powers that can distort and manipulate truth.  In recent years the wealthy elite of the world has bought off a vast numbers of our politicians.   Deceit has become a way of life for many in our government and on Wall Street.    If the reasons that the USA gets involved in a war were to protect our citizens and our borders I would be for all out war to the point of killing the enemy into extinction, and nothing less. Is this war is a just war?  I think not.  However, we are involved, if we are involved in a war I want guys like Chris Kyle to be on my team.  I certainly don't want guys like him fighting against me. Chris was ruff and he was rowdy.  There are rumors that he shot and killed a two armed robbers who attempted to car jack his pickup truck at a gas station in Cleburne, Texas.   There is a rumor that he punched out Jesse "the Body" Ventura (previous Governor of Minnesota) one evening in a SEAL bar in Coronado, CA.  These are both incidents that been well hidden and can't be proven, however, I believe them both.   What can be proven is that he killed more than one hundred and sixty of the enemy in Iraq while he was serving as a SEAL Sniper. His final days were spent as a loving husband and father.  Chris Kyle lost his life in a violent way trying to help the very man who shot and killed him.  He is a true American Hero who did his job, and did it well.  This is not to say that he didn't have a few flaws as all human beings do. ~AWD

DISTASTEFULLY INTERESTING! Isn't it interesting that former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has suddenly announced that she believes that Human Rights include Homosexual Rights to the point of supporting and promoting "Homosexual Marriage."  Hillary's declaration exposes more clearly her true colors.  She has always believed that America should be a Progressive nation.  (Progressivism is a milder name for Communism, and it removes God from the equation.)  Hillary can't seem get her hands around the fact that God Almighty is the only giver of "Human Rights."  God defines what is sin and what is not.  Proclaiming homosexuality a right does not change the fact that the homosexual lifestyle is a sinful lifestyle.  We have been given the freedom and liberty to choose or reject sin not the right to choose sin.  There is a huge difference between a liberty and a right.  In all reality her stand is aimed at the first Amendment.  She is one of a myriad of people here in America who would love to completely remove God from this Nation.   ~Adverse Yaw
